Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers the Pipe Counter mobile application and the Pipe Counter website, including pipecounterapp.com and our Firebase-hosted website pages.

2. Photos and pipe counting

Photos selected for pipe counting are processed on the device for the core counting workflow. We do not upload your counting photos to a cloud AI service for analysis as part of the standard pipe-detection process.

Saved scan history, exports and other files can remain on your device until you remove them. If you share or export a file, the destination you choose may process that file under its own privacy practices.

3. Account and purchase information

Normal counting does not require sign-in. Where an account is used for purchase, entitlement or account-related features, authentication may be handled through Firebase Authentication and platform sign-in services. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by the App Store or Google Play and may also be managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

4. Analytics, diagnostics and technical information

The app may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage, reliability and crashes. Technical services such as Firebase App Check, Remote Config, Firestore or Storage may process limited device, app-instance or network information required to provide or protect those services.

On this website, optional Firebase / Google Analytics is consent-based. If you choose Allow analytics, we use it to understand page visits, app-store button clicks, guide usage and support or business-enquiry clicks. If you choose Essential only, the website does not load Firebase Analytics. You can reopen Privacy choices from the footer at any time.

5. Advertising

Where advertising is enabled for a particular app version, region or configuration, advertising or mediation providers may process device or advertising-related information according to the applicable consent state and their own policies. Pipe Counter may use providers such as Unity LevelPlay and participating advertising partners. Advertising availability can vary by platform, region and app configuration.

6. How information is used

• Provide and operate the app and website.
• Restore purchases, subscriptions or scan entitlements where applicable.
• Maintain account and quota-related functionality.
• Improve counting, reports, reliability and user experience.
• Diagnose crashes, errors and abuse.
• Respond to support and business enquiries.

7. Service providers

Depending on the feature being used, service providers can include Google / Firebase, Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, Unity and participating advertising partners. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Retention and control

Local scan history remains on your device until you clear it, remove it through the app, or remove the app data. Cloud account and service records are retained only as needed for the relevant account, purchase, security, support, legal or service purpose and are subject to the retention practices of the relevant service provider.

9. Account deletion

You can request deletion from inside the app through the account settings. If you also want to remove locally saved scan history, use the app's Clear Scan History option. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the App Store or Google Play.

10. Children

Pipe Counter is not intended to be used as a service directed to children under 13.
